Fringe Repair

This area rug received damage under the dining room table due to not having the proper pad. The damage occurred from sliding chairs over the area rug. Premier Rug Washing repaired the area rug by hand sewing, weaving, and tightening the fringe back on the area rug to bring it back to its original design. The customer didn’t need to purchase all new fringe because Premier Rug Washing was able to repair the area rug.

Fringe Replacement

This area rug the fringe was dye bled from excessive urine which made the area rug bleed and have fringe rot. Premier Rug Washing guarantees the removal of urine 100 percent. New wool fringe was hand sewed onto the area rug to the customers liking.

Proper Vacuuming

In this situation this wool oriental area rug received damage from improper vacuuming. Note: Please check our blog explaining how to properly vacuum your area rug. Premier Rug Washing was able to repair this oriental area rug by hand, sewing off the warped yarns. We removed the damaged fringe and replaced the area rug with new fringe selected by our customer, of their liking. New wool fringe was hand sewed onto the area rug making it look refreshed and bringing it back to its original design.

Grooming and Detailing the Fringe

Our customer brought this oriental wool area rug into Premier Rug Washing to be thoroughly washed, and the fringe also needed to be detailed and groomed. Premier Rug Washing washed the area rug first, then we detailed the fringe by hand, washing each knot, then we hand groomed and straightened the fringe to bring the fringe back to its original form.

Silk Area Rug Washing

Oriental silk area rugs need gentle care. Our customer brought the oriental silk area rug to Premier Rug Washing to be thoroughly washed, softened, and repaired. We gently washed the silk area rug to prevent damage to the silk pile, then we softened and groomed the area rug with a horse hair brush. Next Premier Rug Washing hand sewed the warp yarns to prevent any loss of silk pile. Lastly Premier Rug Washing was able to hand sew the new silk fringe onto the area rug to the liking of our customer.

Wool Tufted New Backing

Our customer brought the area rug into Premier Rug Washing, due to damage from excessive cleaning by the customer, attempting to remove the urine herself. Premier Rug Washing was able to remove the old backing and wash the area rug thoroughly to remove all traces of urine, and them reinstalled a new felt backing.

Braided Area Rug

This braided area rug was brought into Premier Rug Washing, because the customer attempted to wash the area rug herself in the washing machine, to remove excess dirt and odors, by doing so she broke the thread fibers holding the area rug together, thinking she could wash it on the gentle cycle with no luck. She brought the area rug to us, and we thoroughly washed it, and repaired multiple areas by hand. We re-braided the hole in the area rug and the customer was very satisfied as it looked new once again!

Wool Tufted Area Rug

Our customers brought this area into Premier Rug Washing to have the area rug thoroughly washed and to also have the fringe and straps on the back reattached to bring the stability back into the area rug.

Wool Hand Knotted Area Rug

The customer brought the area rug into Premier Rug Washing in a timely manner before irreparable damage could occur. This area rug originally had fringe on it but with wear and tear over the years the fringe wore away. So Premier Rug Washing solved the problem by sewing off the warp yarns and had sewed on the new fringe to the customers liking. We also thoroughly washed the area rug.

The Puppy Had a Taste For Fringe

This area rug was brought into Premier Rug Washing for a thorough wash, and a repair, due to the new puppy addition to the family, which had a taste for fringe! The old fringe was unsalvageable so Premier Rug Washing hand sewed a new fringe on to the area rug to the customers liking, after we thoroughly washed and dried the area rug.

Chinese Hand Knotted Wool Area Rug

This area rug was brought into Premier Rug Washing due to fringe rot. We sewed off the warp yarns on the area rug so it would not lose any face fibers. We then removed the old fringe off the Kilim to be able to hand sew new cotton fringe to the customers liking. Premier Rug Washing always thoroughly washes every area rug first before repairing.

This hand knotted wool area rug was brought into Premier Rug Washing for a washing and repair. After it was thoroughly washed and the fringe detailed, we pulled the Kilim back up and hand sewed it back onto the original backing of the area rug.

Cat Scratch Damage

This ambitious cat decided to sharpen its claws on this hand knotted Turkish area rug. Our customer brought us the area rug to be washed and repaired. We had older scraps of Turkish area rugs on hand and we were able to patch in the damaged area, making the damaged area hardly noticeable, therefore saving the area rug, and one of the nine lives of the cat!
